I went and put $5 on a pre-order to get the beta. Gears of War was one of those games that I really enjoyed when it came out but I have always been frustrated with it. Gears 2 multiplayer was pretty much complete trash but I am still looking forward to Gears 3. I have only played a bit so far today and it is definitely better than Gears 2 but it still feels like it needs a lot of polish and balancing. A LOT OF BALANCING.

So, anybody want to play? If we can get people playing it would be nice to do an initial impressions post and have a few people write up a few paragraphs about their experience with the beta.

Welp, I just pre-ordered my copy.  I'm sure I'll finish the campaign and get bored pretty quick with Multi, but what the hell.  Let's do this.

I really want to be excited, but i just dont care enough about GOW. I might be willing to give it another shot if the multiplayer is less "chainsaw" ridiculous than 2's.

I wasn't either, to be honest.  I kinda had a buddy "walk me through" Gears 2 multiplayer in the past few weeks.  I kinda dig it now. It takes some getting used to, but I'm on board now and switched my BF3 pre-order.

I still need to play GoW2. I really liked the campaign. I mean, I bought it for 5 bucks. It was 5 bucks good. Yes.
