So, before I start this up, let me first apologize to everyone at the Golgotron Empire. I'm sorry for randomly dropping off the face of the Earth and never showing up to meetings and what not. I felt so overwhelmed with things in my life - school, work, family problems, car troubles etc. I felt bad for not showing up and I felt even worse for not saying anything about it. There was an on going cycle of me feeling bad about feeling bad (I can't even tell you how much Inception fucked me over). I've met some of the coolest people over at Golgotron and I'm sorry if I let any of you guys down.

Alright, now that that is over, I'd love to announce - since I did write an article about how much I want this game on XBLA - that NFL Blitz is coming to the XBLA! I am so overjoyed with this news that I decided to write about it during finals week when I should be studying about the proper ways to do a sample t-test for my statistics project on Wednesday. I understand that I am probably pretty late on this news, but I've been swallowed up by the confines of school. These past few months I have read nothing but Mexican American History and the Principles of Journalism. When I went to my friend's house the other weekend, I saw a Game Informer magazine on his couch (it's probably blasphemy to mention GI here) and I remembered that I can read stuff for fun. In there I found the article announcing EA's release of NFL Blitz to the XBLA. The game will be released in Jan. 2012, for 1200 Microsoft Points. Other than that, I haven't really heard too much about the game, I just thought it would be awesome to tell you guys, in case you didn't know. Also, if any of you guys have more information on it, I'd love to hear about it.

Once again, I'm sorry. Torey and I want to visit you guys again. We always had so much fun. Maybe this time we'll bring our guitars and play something, if you guys will have us, of course. Til then.

Hey Gabriel. Glad to hear things have leveled out for you a bit. NFL Blitz was always one of my faves back in the day and I'm glad to see it return to the roots (minus the steroid power ups and obnoxious animations) on XBLA. If NBA Jam is any sign of the quality we can expect, I think we'll all be pleased by the return of the Blitz!

Thank you. I was extremely excited to see NBA Jam: On Fire Edition on XBLA. What they did was perfect. They simply tweaked a few things and updated the graphics - slightly, just enough to enhance the game but not enough to take away from the cartoon feel and absurdity. While this sounds like a minor concern, this really is a major concern of mine: I really hope that they don't take out late-hits. I found that so fun and entertaining. Maybe it's poor sportsmanship, but it was so funny. It really added to the absurdity that was happening all around that game: robot players, big heads and players on fire. I love that game and I'll probably buy it anyway. Here is the release trailer if you haven't seen it yet.

I don't remember much about this game from the very little amount I played it (although I do recally thoroughly enjoying HITZ).  But.... could you make a player which had a horse's head?

Sorry to respond so late. I went searching around the interwebs and found this bad boy. http://www.ea.com/nfl-blitz/images/nfl-blitz-horse
I think you were looking for a human player with a horse head but I found this instead. Sorry.
