Hey all,

I recently just picked up a PS3 and a bunch of games. I'm kicking around a few ideas for my next article and wanted to gather any thoughts y'all may have and what you'd like to see.

a. Time and gaming. Basically some thoughts about the glut of gaming available and deciding what games to play. Written from the perspective of someone who has the means basically to drop cash on anything that comes out, and someone who hasn't played a lot of the "classics."

b. Getting ID'ed when buying games. I was carded on 3 separate occasions when buying games, but strangely enough, not when buying GOW3. General discussion about ratings, and enforcing them without getting too much into the discussion about violence/sex and their merit in games.

c. New game thoughts and opinions. Having spent some time now with GOW3 and Heavy Rain, I have some thoughts about these titles on why I like/dislike each of them. In this, I would stay away from the actual technical aspects of the game and the traditional review elements, but discuss more the overall aesthetic and my interpretation of the intended gameplay elements of each.

Which do you guys want to see? Or if you hate all three, let me know what you'd think would be more interesting to read.

I like the concept of the first idea mainly because I'm in that boat and buy way too many games I'm not sure I'll ever get around to playing.  The third idea basically sums up what I think this site is about in regards to reviews--that they're higher level editorials. Scoring systems on reviews seems to cheapen the nature of opinion and I think talking aesthetic and experience will give people a better feel for what they're getting.

So I vote for A but think C should be somewhat of a mantra for Golgotron on review-like editorials.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on A.  And perhaps when you investigate this, mention if you have a pile of shame in your house (consisting of games you have not beaten yet.....and other things).

I'm working on a draft of my Sleep is Death article as we speak. I'm breaking it down piece by piece. The controller section should be up and ready to go tomorrow.

I really like Idea A.

I probably wouldn't read article B, only because I've been burnt out on the subject lately. With all the articles that came out recently about the new law going to court for carding people in CA, Ive read more than enough. But option A sounds great

I kind of have a similar question on my own behalf.
(hope you dont mind me placing it here- it just seemed fitting)

I was curious if i should keep going with my new video series. Did you guys like the skate 3 video? (a few of my local friends commented) but I wanted to know what you guys think.

I have a few other ideas I could move on to if you don't think the dirty details is working so well. (please be brutally honest)
but if it is received well, then i could make another one much easier and better than the first (now that I have the resources) Suggestions?
