I heard this mentioned briefly on Episode 4 of the podcast but it didn't sound like anyone actually played it. I'm here to try and up the hype so we can all get on board and build some awesome fucking shit come Friday when I actually have the game.

Here's the inception-ized trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaMTedT6P0I
The scale of what you can build: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn2-d5a3r94

I don't know if anyone ever played Blockland, but this is a better version of that imo (and if you want you can be a huge dick while playing online with other people, but that's no fun.

yah Ive heard a lot of talk about this game. It looks great but just how user firendly is it?
I find a lot of in depth indy games have a bit to much learning for me to swallow.

I really wanted to make love to Sleep Is Death, but i lack the motivation and time Sad

from the various gameplay trailers I've seen it looks very user friendly, only limited by your creativity and unholy amounts of free-time, for example:

And remember: Math is important.

Oh man that is awesome. Great song choice too. This game is insane. It's like digital Legos, with infinite possibilities. I think the guys at PA put it best with their first strip regarding Minecraft: http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2010/9/17/

I guess its a perfect time for me to start playing, seeing as though I'm home sick with the flu. Goodbye cruel world.

So, we need to get a Golgocraft server going.  I heard Fizi has one, and I know Cory was talking about setting one up.  Let's do it.

If someone can set it up, I'll buy one tomorrow. What do we need?

This should not require out of pocket expense. I know fizi has one already set up that I have successfully accessed in the past, though I am not sure what limitations (if any) it may have for more users.

Paging Dr. Fizi, Dr. Fizi to the forums, please.

Its not hard to host one and shouldn't cost anything other than purchasing the full version of the game. I recommend someone who has a decent gaming PC and an high speed internet connection. I am currently building on a friend server but id be happy to switch over if Golgotron starts one. I'm a master at pixel art and interesting building projects. I always try to go big and can get on at work so I have a lot of time at night to geek out on it.

Plus with the newer patches the server hosting is getting a lot easier to use and there isn't so much of an issue with port forwarding and ip firewall conflicts.

Id host but the new "beast" is still in boxes. I am a new video card and a few other components away from bringing it to life.

Keep me in the loop.
