  • Adventure Time!
  • Cory - You were a rhombus host. Great job!
  • Phantasmagoria was freaky and awesome. Seven discs of awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only one who played it.
  • What's funny is that the only reason I loved Sierra was that Diablo expansion. The classes did suck but the Hive kicked my monkey ass at street hoops.
  • If Rockstar did a Chronicles of Riddick style re-release of Red Dead Revolver packed in with Red Dead Redemption, they could easily solidify the franchise. Oh well.
  • It was pretty apparent that Cory was frustrated at times throughout the podcast. I love y'alls but maybe the podcast needs to be a shade less party and a smidge more sincerious. I have to say though that Cory's little whistle to get everyone back on track was priceless.
  • Pokemon Snap was so fun! I would buy a Wii squeakquel in a heartbeat!
  • Molly - Where's your article for Soul Silver? Tongue
  • Parasite Eve had a cool story if nothing else, and signified a diversified offering from Squaresoft in the 90s. They released this, SaGa Frontier, FF Tactics, Einhander, Front Mission, and Ehrgeiz, all in about two years.
  • Rich is totally right about Nintendo hardware selling itself. Wii Sports (and WiiPlay) sold more Wiis than Zelda ever could because, for the first time, Zelda didn't appeal to Nintendo's (new) target audience.
  • I agree with Cory 100% that the biggest problem with digital distribution pricing matching physical B&M pricing is the logic of it. If they gave you any discount whatsoever, it'd be a logical choice one way or the other. Instead you have to accept that you're getting less for the same price on every purchase and that hurts the aesthetic and experience of being a consumer. Try as I might, I can't keep supporting the PSP Go when every single fucking title is half the digital price on UMD, which I can't play on the same device. FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...
  • The X in Xbox is Direct-X. It's not getting ported any time soon. Wine has been haphazardly used in the porting of many games to Mac OS. I really hope Valve doesn't go that route if they do in fact try to port non-Source games to OSX.
  • Episode 9? lolwut! I'm in line, right now, for Star Wars Episode 9. Although I'm pretty sure it'll be fully animated and completely stray from the original concept of the third trilogy.
  • One thing I think was glanced over in regards to Gamefly's benefit is the ability to purchase lightly used games there cheaper than 98% of all other shopping outlets. Having been a member for a couple years now, I can say that it's a little overpriced and they absolutely cannot deliver on high demand new releases. At least they aren't raising prices as often as Netflix though.
  • Jorge is a low-tier superstar. We've always stayed away from A and S tier characters and I can easily say it's made us better over the years. Vega, who I main in SF4, is second to last in rankings behind Dan, who is my alt. Cheesy
  • Quotes of the night:
    "I'm 28!" - Various
"Cal, put your shoes on.. we're at grandma's." - Rich
"I will be a firm member..." - Cory
"You can die in a fire!" - Cory
  • Golgocast theme song by Danny B is the best idea I've heard all day!
  • So I don't know if this is something you guys control, but the episodes don't show up on iTunes nearly as fast as on the site. It's not a big deal to most folks I'm sure, but it's nice to have it offline on the ipod/ipad so I can listen in the car or while traveling.

Josh handles all the podcast distributions... and he does it poorly. I'd take it up with him via a PM .

Also when are we going to see the Random Select podcast from you and Jorge?

Josh: Don't post my goddamn email address in plain text!

1 - I agree wholeheartedly on Pokemon Snap. If they put out a sequel for that, I'd go out and buy it instantly. GotY. :p

2 - I'm still playing the game... I'm going to play through it completely and then write the article, even though Cory tells me this is not how a game journalist operates. I'm supposed to play 3 hours of the game and then throw an article together, and then several weeks later when I actually finish the game, write a better article. That just seems like more work to me though.

3 - I love the Parasite Eve games... Though 1 had a better story, I like the improved gameplay mechanics of the sequel, and the overall look and feel of everything. The supporting characters are also better in 2.
